My first 'old car' was a 1968 Mustang convertible my father and I purchased in 1976. Even though it was only 8 years old it had always been a local car and suffered the effects of rust and hard use. But this was the car that brought me into the hobby.
My current old car is a 1965 Mustang 2+2 I bought in 1991. It was originally from North Carolina. It was discovered in a salvage yard and brought back to life. Even though its early years were hard it survived rust free. I know what it costs to restore an older vehicle. I know the amount of work it takes. I do all of my own work except body and paint. I have replaced engines, transmissions, clutches, rear ends, brakes, etc. My Mustang has a stroked 289 with roller cam, Cobra intake, 351 large valve heads, Cobra oil pan, HiPo underdrive alternator pulley, dual point hipo distributor, Ford roller rockers. The transmission is a TKO 600 heavy duty 5 speed with overdrive connected to a CenterForce heavy duty clutch and Lakewood blow proof bell housing. The Ford 9 inch rear end contains 3.50:1 gears in a nodular iron 4 pinion centre section, an Eaton locker and early Ford Fairlane station wagon 2 1/2 x 10 inch heavy duty drum brakes. The front brakes are factory Kelsey-Hayes 4 piston discs. The front strut rods are Street or Track adjustables. The spring perches are OpenTracker roller units. The steering is a fast ratio manual box with the Shelby quick steer kit. Great quality parts working together well makes for a fun car.

My career has been spent at various companies. I spent 5 years working for General Motors and 4 years at Ford Motor Company headquarters in Dearborn, Michigan. I had the pleasure of meeting Carroll Shelby at the Dearborn Assembly Plant (DAP) in 2003.
I started performing appraisals in the summer of 2004. I have a lot of friends with old cars and my business has been built largely on personal referrals. I thoroughly enjoy meeting car people, talking to them about their vehicle and providing an important service for them.
